Guest CharlesK19
I want to put a BOV that vents to the atmosphere on my TT Aristo. Through some reading I've learned that since I have a MAF on my intake, swapping my diverter valve to a bov can cause the engine to run rich for a couple seconds since the MAF doesn't realize the air hasn't been recirculated. So if the MAF is mounted between the IC and TB after the bov this can fix the issue of running rich. But on the other hand a few people have stated the MAF can be damaged by oil or other particles since it's now located on the chargepipe, instead of the stock located on the intake pipe. I have a stock ecu and it's going to stay that way for a while. So are some people just letting there engine run rich for a few seconds or what have they done with a bov and MAF placement? Thanks!
