blythmrk
Hi Are there any pre-production mkiv's in the club? Has anyone ever seen one and do they have any differences to actual production cars? I believe a few were sent to Europe or have they all vanished. Thanks Mark
fastcar
If they were sent here I would imagen that Toyota UK would have them
blythmrk
I am of the understanding Toyota GB do not have a Supra (correct me if i am wrong) as they normally borrow one when needed (they have asked about my car before but I declined due to other commitments) Thanks Mark

Frank Bullitt
^ Are you sure they did't get rid of it? I didn't think they had one anymore and that is why Big Supes stepped in when they wanted one with the FT-1 at Goodwood.
ripped_fear
They do have one they brought it to the anniversary meet a few years back. They auctioned it off for charity a year or two ago. Presuming you mean the castorl one max power or red line (can't remember which) modified. I wasn't aware that was a pre production supra though. fastcar
They did have two! An TT auto and TT6 both U.K. I think. From what they said at the anniversary meet someone was told to not sell the TT6 under any circumstances! So one got the wrong end of the stick and kept the auto:D. But looks like that one has gone aswell
blythmrk
So Toyota Uk themselves don't have any actual Supra mkiv's. What started me thinking was the Mkiv started in 1993 but I remember when I was younger a silver uk spec (i think) around 1993 on my parents road but it was reg j55pab i my memory serves me correctly (I know a private plate) but some pre production models were made in 1992 even early 1993 cars were pre-production if you were to have one you may only know by checking the chassis no. These were from 0001001 to 0001062 according to the supra registry it seems quite accurate I have checked my cars and chassis numbers match the specs. I would really like to own a very early car no idea why really!

SPG
Pre-production cars will appeal to collectors
evinX
Pre-production cars will appeal to collectors But collectors are Mo*gs, lets be honest. They are all about numbers, finding a way to make something soooo special, and really it means bugger all. 'Hey man first car to roll of the line' - Id be like 'Hey man give me the last one to roll of the line' 'Its all original and untouched' - Boring as hell mate, its 2016 not 1993
Scott-tt
There are K reg ones, and irc K should mean '92 L is '93.
V8KILR
There were 10 pre-production EUROPE spec Supras made, which the UK spec is part of. Not sure how many would be RHD, but based on EUROPE model production percentages, probably around 4 of them are RHD (aka UK spec).
