ABS Fault

Hi all, New to the club and have just bought a 1994 Japanese import manual NA Supra, shes a bit rough looking and needs a full repaint but wanting to get her mechanically sound first before painting. Car has been off the road for 3 years so working my way through the issues to get it MOT'd but after advice if any of the info I have makes sense. Car had been in the garage and my mate a good mechanic and has worked on supra's in days gone by said hes stuck for the time being.

The ABS light is illuminated and the triangle which I've read on other threads is related. The ABS relay on the inner wing a double looking one was not kicking out voltage to the ABS pump so got a new one of these from Toyota £90 ow, now getting voltage to the ABS pump for about 2 seconds then the voltage goes. Wondering if the car has sat for a few years the pump could be seized reason for the voltage disappearing when switched on. My mate downloaded the wiring diagrams from here for and they show another 2 relays located on the inner wing under the double relay, my car does not have these the alarm is mounted there and nothing looks like its been cut out of the loom, think the right diagrams do any other members cars have these or are the Japanese cars different. Do you think the next step is to replace the pump, car does not have traction control but there are plugs under gearshift trim with nothing connected and no spaces under the radio.

Going down a different route is it better to remove the ABS system all together and how hard is it, is it a pressurized system ie needed for normal braking

Thanks for taking the time to look, wife got me fitting building a new bathroom ie converting a room to one so can only sneak a the odd hr on the car for the next week reason for putting into the garage thought it would be easier for them to sort. So can only check in a couple of times a day. Doesn't understand I want to get out and drive her

Found a 62 page manual on the web just on the ABS system, heavy reading last night great covers everything, shows mine without traction control not having them extra relays I mentioned, have sourced a pump so going to get that fitted. If that doesn't work will be seek advice. Cheers

Manual says that on start up check if the ECU detects a fault on the ABS pump it shuts the current off to the pump after 2 secs, just waiting for pump to land to and get it fitted to test theory.

Hi, did do a full fluid change and caliper rebuild due to it being sorned since 2012, replacement pump fitted sorted the problem, the relay was screwed as well tested the old one as per instructions in the manual copied in the link, nearly ready for MOT time, cheers for that.
