dazla
My uk glass headlight are taking in water. looks like its coming in from where the seal finishes inline with the side of the bonnet. I think they're gonna need a new seal on them. Ive found this http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/BUTYL-RUBBER-GLUE-TAPE-HEADLIGHT-SEALANT-RETROFIT-SPEAKER-9-5MMx4-57M-CAR-VAN-/261561165192?nav=SEARCH on ebay just wondering if anyone has used it or anything similar. Also just to confirm am I ok putting them in the oven with them being glass?
David P
More likely to be a dodgy fog light bulb seal, that's where the bonnet gutter drips too.
dazla
Finally had time to have a look at the lights today. Looks like your right David, the lights have been fitted with HID's including the fog lights. Unfortunately the fog light housing that holds the bulb is none existent and just wired straight in. The amount of water that poured out from there was crazy. Will have to have a look at reverting back to OEM bulbs just for the fogs but for now I've used duck tape and robbed the kids cupboard for elastic bands Quick blast with the hair dryer and they are as good as new. Well one down one to go. Just hope it keeps the water out.
