Jellybean
Hi The reflow connector on the FRP is fixed, you cannot remove or change (M14X1.5); I got a M14X1.5 female to AN6 Male , the fitting does not go all the way up the reflow connector Question: To ensure a good seal , use PTFE tape? or a Dowty seal maybe
samdale
Is the end of the male M14 fitting shaped in any way to create a metal/metal seal? The o ring on it suggests you have the wrong female fitting and it should go all the way in so that the o ring makes the seal. As a rule, parallel threads do not form a seal on the threads and rely on another method (o ring, dowty, compression metal on metal etc) to form a seal. Thread tape is used on tapered threads as it is the thread itself that forms the sealing faces.
