Bee r limiter, or other options

Hi guys,

I have built a 550bhp ish auto originally twin turbo, single mk4.

The problem is, autos are notoriously slow to get off the line until on boost hits (which I noticed at santapod), and I'm trying to think of a way to solve this issue, if not just better it...

Is a Bee R limiter in anyway worth it? As it cuts ignition not fuelling, does it work similar to a 2 step system? Can you set it at a certain linit? As holding on the brake and accelerator in an auto only let's you get to 3-4k before the wheels start spinning (and in a single it is ofcourse not on boost so is very sluggish off the line)...ideally I would like to leave the line slightly on boost, so any opinions fire this way :)

Is using one damaging to the engine? (I know it will be to the turbo).

Are there other options? (I know a small shot of nitrous below the boost of the turbo would work, but is alot of faff for just below 4k rpm on a launch).

Ideally if someone has a link to an install guide or has done one before and could give any advice on how good it is etc I would be very pleased :)

Cheers

Have you a standard torque converter? ive a similar problem in a 520bhp 1j and from reading online a high stall torque converter will fix it. Garage whifbitz have them

I do have a standard torque converter, however my issue is ofcourse not having boost low down, so how will a high stall converter gain me more power lower down?

It won't gain you more power but will allow you to get higher revs while left foot braking to get you're turbo on boost

I guessed that, but the thing is, for the price of a high stall converter (1k at whifbitz) a bee r or a wet 150 shot of nitrous would surely give a better result? Especially for the cost?

Also I drive this car daily...and the turbo is a new Turbonetics TNX 45/64
