Anyone ever bothered to look at what makes these things tick? (ha....ha....)

 

Mine still illuminates, but if I hold the + or - I hear a clicking, but the hands no longer turn.

Weird thing is that it happened after I'd let the battery go flat. Can't see the relevance myself but thought I'd mention it.

 

I guess I could try changing the big cap...not sure what else to try. :search:
