So apparently the internet info sources say all cars before 96 aren't obdII and that 96 Toyota supra is owing to obdII and that it is jobd and just obdI.why does my supra have a round port under my steering wheel dash and a fuse in the fuse box written obdII

It's still not "proper" OBDII though. I can read live data and operate a lot of stuff with a suitable scan tool on late VVTi's, but never seen anything with that capability on earlier cars. Pete on here has a phone / tablet / whatever it is gadget that shows live data from his VVTi, not sure what it is though, my phone connects to other phones, if I am lucky, and that's it!

Tryna hook up something like petes.it would be nice if Pete would post a pic of his obdII port because mine is round with the exact same pins as the regular rectangular obdII plug.mle 723 is what Pete is using with a multiple range of software's available for that set up...... Might put some cheese on this ham sandwich
