Main beam healight bulb help

I need to change my headlight main beam bulb and I'm having trouble finding a replacement! I just bought one from my local car parts place and it said on there computer it was the correct bulb for my car, when I got home and tried it the bulb didn't fit

 

On the bulb below it has koito, 12v 55w, PAT 4500946

 

What have you guys used or can anyone help me out where to find a bulb like in the pictures below?

If it's a jap spec it's a 9005 that needs modding

You'll find 2 of the three locating lugs fit so all you need do is file off the misaligned lug and all will be well as it'll still seat properly with the two remaining lugs. That's a lot cheaper option to sourcing the jspec bulb.

I bought myself some new bulbs about 2 weeks ago using the thread that Nic has linked up. I did wonder at the time why it's so hard to get actual jspec bulbs that fitted without issue.

Alternatively if you loosen/remove the rings on the back of the headlight (3 small screws) the bulbs will fit without modifying the tabs.
