ashloys
I'm about to replace my jspec turbos very shortly with some UK spec turbos which I've already purchased. I basically got the turbos as a bolt on replacement with the manifold etc all still bolted on. I've had a look around and couldn't get any definitive info on what is different/needs changed whenever replacing them i.e. is it JUST the manifold is different or is it the manifold AND downpipe need changed? If I can't get a UK spec downpipe, can I buy anything aftermarket to do the same job? So I'm basically just looking for a list of things that I need to get/buy and what needs done basically. Please only answers from people who have done this themselves and know 100%, no umms or aahs guessing what may or may not work/fit

Wez
You will need a UK CAT1 bypass or stock UK CAT1 as the flange is different EDIT: its also worth mentioning that they perform differently to JSPEC so the fueling and ignition will likely be out too. Marty
Isn't the EGR different on a uk spec too? you'd need that

No more so than any steel hybrid replacements? I personally wouldn't worry too much about that.

Yea agreed and as regards EGR etc, delete that anyway if not already gone. Not required. Mine passes emissions without it by a country mile

Presumably as the UK turbos flow less, and are slower spooling, it will still be safe on J spec mapping (though obviously not ideal)
