tooquicktostop
How do you mean selling? Surely its either sold or its not? And hang on is yours not the one with the mad bodykit thats been for sale for months and months? /QUOTE] I am awaiting payment and agreed a payment date Yes "mad body kit" that's the one ..... np89
I am awaiting payment and agreed a payment date Yes "mad body kit" that's the one ..... lol my point is its hardly a comparable car due to spec and time period its been for sale. Personally not one for the Top Secret 90's thing but the point was its obviously a collectors item and therefore not a run of the mill Supra TT6 or otherwise that appear to be listed at silly money. Market price does not include items that take months and months to sell and there is specialist interest only for.
Wonga Spar
I swear a blue one went for £19,000 last week from a member (Phil?) looked beautiful. np89
yeah that was Phills one 214. he sold his rsp supra for 19k. Lol ok I'll concede that like everything there are exceptions but the vast majority are not doing this sort of money. Case in point - remember when everyone on here thought £4k was "very reasonable" for a used V160 and now the attitude is don't go near them unless that are significantly cheaper than that
gdog1989
I think that some things that get priced up sometimes are way too much but then equally if someone is willing to pay the asking price then so be it people will either pay it or not i guess.....if parts are in demand then prices will always go up if there not then they wont sell until either they are in demand again or the price is reduced. Sukhy
Looks like a nice car. Someone will get a great deal and as long as the seller is happy with the price, that's all that matters.

You're not wrong mate, not at all. 80% of Supra's I see on various marketplaces in the last month or so have been priced ridiculously. The vast majority of them just sit there until the advert expires. Every car that Tom Harvey dealer has is laughably priced, so many shitboxes on ebay are listed at 6-10k. It's not even a stagnant market either, if a nice one comes up at the right price it's genuinely gone in hours (or minutes looking at this thread). And no one ever thought £4k was a reasonable amount for a used gearbox that can't be rebuilt in the UK, which is exactly why the Tremec and BMW gearbox conversions are getting attention. Aye people have woken up to gearboxes now but lets not pretend that everyone on this forum didnt used to cream themselves everytime a pricey v160 came up for sale lol

Scooter
Congrats to you, good to see one miss the £3-4K trader flip between old and new owner. I'd like to see the Supra for sale (not parts section) opened up to non members just on the odd chance a long term owner but not member posts up something similar before he gets a crap trade in.
