Sheefa
Hi Right I've decided I need to get my car sorted for future track days so the Veilside TI exhaust I have has to go, it's just too loud and wouldn't pass the static test with the bung in at 4K rpm! Ideally I'm looking for a decent non-restrictive exhaust which is reasonably quiet but which can be modified with a flap/valve to a diverted pipe for off-track loudness. Any ideas on what would work? Appreciate there may quite a bit of fabrication involved too, anyone recommend any specialist custom exhaust companies ? Cheers Greg:)

johnny g
Tanabe is good to around 630bhp.
Wez
Tanabe is good to around 630bhp. I am guessing that is with wastegate routed back into the main exhaust and not a screamer pipe.
Bobbeh
I have the Veilside Ti and have done tracks days in the UK without the bung.. Bedford was close to the limit and well inside with the bung.. I still have the cats in so I'm surprised the bung didnt help you, what levels were you getting?

A single with no cats on a Veilside Ti sounds insane, I use to really like mine but ended up swapping to a Tannabe to make it trackday happy I am guessing your cats are helping keep it down. Wez
Yep. Mine was like a banshee! I run a Tanabe with a screamer hanging off a HKS GT60 wastegate

That's a shame. Damn NIMBYs LOL yes, it was borderline with cats in, some of the tracks are very boring/restrictive! I managed to do a couple of track days at Bedford with the bung out, it was a close call though.
Sheefa
Mine was reading 114db static with the bung out. Havent testwd with bung in but its going to be over 105 for sure. God knows what it is on drive by with the screamers going too on high boost.

Lol Well done mate Haha thanks mate. 2nd and 3rd runs I got the hang of the lines and James' car which is insane. It's so much lighter and nimble. Maybe I should start stripping mine out! robtup
Hi Just wondering what route you went down as I'm aiming to do a few track days this year and need a new exhaust. Also have open waste gate will that be an issue?

Hemanhead
Im sure it was mentioned in another thread that tracks have a limited number of days per year restriction free? If thats all that stands between you and a few laps, book yourself onto one.
