SD card problem

Recommended Posts

I recorded some footage on my HD camera last week only to find when trying to play back the files are showing as broken/corrupt,

When i plug the card into my usb reader and go into the particular drive it shows raw type and no space on the card,

Ive run a recovery software called Easeus and it shows the files but to recover them fully we have to pay quite abit of dosh,

Does anyone know of or use any software that will recover my files please.

You got to watch some of the stuff you download too.

I have an sd card problem and some photos that need recovery, but like you are finding it's a nightmare to resolve.

Certainly be interested to see how you manage to secure your video.

Used Recuvva and got the files onto my pc, spent most of the day yesterday actually trying to open the files no joy, turns out my sd card is fake from china and most likely the cause of problems, its really strange though because i can see the file and its size and the beginning picture etc but nothing will open it, also tried Grau video repair software but no joy, might give up on it soon as it pissing me off, i`ll just go back to the ring next year and do more laps good excuse lol.

Would this be a large capacity card than actually turns out to be a much smaller card with a firmware hack that makes it report its size as much larger than it actually is? I've heard this is common with Chinese cards and USB sticks. Might explain why your card is suddenly full and the files corrupted.
