Big Supes
It's starting to make noises that don't sound too good. It's not really a whirring sound, it sounds more like the car has a supercharger (I wish ). I'll openly admit I don't know a great deal about these gearboxes. Transmission fluid pump? Time for a rebuild, maybe? Edited October 2, 2016 by Big Supes (see edit history)
Dnk
Wouldn't it be much cheaper just buy a known used unit from say Keron etc Found this on a quick search http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-SUPRA-1994-3-0-AUTOMATIC-PERTOL-GEARBOX-/221256132171?hash=item3383e4a64b:g:qUcAAMXQxj1R6Arv We just had a full rebuild done with TQ by Driver Transmissions in B'ham for £1500 + vat on another vehicle Edited October 2, 2016 by Dnk (see edit history)
Scooter
I have a NA autobox, torque converter and flex plate, I bought a few weeks back in error if you need one (could probably deliver)
Nodalmighty
Your old NA valve body would have value to someone looking to build a hybrid box (aka DavidP Hybrid).
Andrew K
Sorry bit of topic from what your asking. Your old NA valve body would have value to someone looking to build a hybrid box (aka DavidP Hybrid). Always wondered about this, I had a perfectly good working Auto box in a TT I broke a few years back now, only thing is when I removed it I didn't do it in the correct way and so damaged the front oil seal! (Found this out after looking it up) still have the box so wondered if it would be of any value to anyone possibly?

Big Supes
Thanks guys. Sabrina took the car to a local garage and they seem to think it's the power steering pump. I'm not convinced, but kinda hoping it is...
David P
Thanks guys. Sabrina took the car to a local garage and they seem to think it's the power steering pump. I'm not convinced, but kinda hoping it is... That sounds more likely to be cause of the sound we haven't heard.
