Digi dash not working after engine swap - 1JZ into MK3 Supra

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the mk3 dig dash?

So this is really getting on my nerves. The car came standard with the digi dash and was working fine. I swapped in a 1jz engine on the gearbox that was already in the car and now it doesn't light up at all. None of the inputs have been changed (speed sensor, fuel level etc) but there is now no longer a oil pressure sensor (as the 1jz doesn't have one).

When you turn the ignition to 'on', the dash lights for a split second but that's about it.

I have tested at the plugs and it has a few 12v feeds and a few 0-5v feeds but without a proper wiring diagram, i'm not sure what should have what. The fuses are fine.

I was under the impression that the dash is independent from the ecu, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Please save me someone.

Thanks

Unfortunately, I doubt you'll get a lot of love on here. I would try a MK3 forum or driftworks.

Get next to nowhere with the mk3 supra forums and have had it up on driftworks for a while now. Even tried the z20 soarer forum as they are all digi dash and the same basic platform. Good ideas though :).

Do you still have the old ECU? I know it won't start the engine but can you not just plug it in and ensure it is separate from the ECU?

That is a stunning idea. Will be a pain as i have had to cut into the loom but worth the effort.

I'd love to try a known working dash but unfortunately they were a rare option and as such i'm really struggling to find one.

Do you have a stock ECU pin-out diagram, should give you some idea if it feeds the dash ;)

There in lies another issue. The car used to be a 1G-GTEU engine, of which there are 3 ECU generations. Guess who got the rarest gen3 ecu lol.

From what i have cobbled together, i have all the wires connected (luckily Toyota have lots of continuity when it comes to wire colour). Even with the pinouts though, i don't know what are inputs and what are outputs.
