Car lift

The problem with two post is that you can't open the door wide enough. I use to had the above link lift, quite idea for the supra but I would recommend the scissor lift.

Not to bothered about opening the doors when it's on the lift. Thet one does look good but a little pricey for what I need . Will see if the do a smaller two post one

Looks a good option that one. But I tend to get paranoid with no mechanical locking mechanism under a lift (like the lock stops on a good two poster) .

It does have the safety switch stop. With hydraulic lift it come down quite slow so if everything fail you still have time to run. :D

Hmmm, wouldn't be happy letting my dog under there, let alone myself! Is it all properly EU approved, TUV sanctioned or whatever?

Think they would have to consider the lack of mechanical locks and the fact it allows humans to go under it to work on a car a nono!! You wouldn't catch me under there either!! no way!! Though it would make jobs on the car more exciting. Wondering if I will survive till I can get the work finished.

214 supra - who told you hydraulics fail slowly? I wouldn't be relying on that info ! If a seal went, one side could drop causing the thing to tip or collapse completely. Not good in either case but maybe I am just getting old and boring!!

Looks better in terms of the fact the frame is supporting it when its loaded. Still don't like the idea of zero redundancy in the vent of failure though. I would be putting axle stands under too as catchers in the event of failure which sort of defeats the object!! Not totally though. It is a pain having to jack front and back up individually.
