berg
Are there any side effects from blanking this off? My new intake manifold is fouling the nipples on the end ever so slightly Not to mention the throttle body/inlet doesnt have any extra vac sources to run to it Can it be blanked off or does it need keeping? Ideally capping the ends will be no good for my setup i would need to remove the valve and put a bolt in its place if i can do that

Again might be wrong on that!
berg
I think its used more to raise the idle slightly when using full lock at very low speeds/standstill Just dont know what issues it can cause if removed like possible stalling when trying to park etc as that would do my head in

Chris Wilson
When the PAS hydraulic pressure rises above a set amount the valve opens and bypasses a small amount of air around the throttle valve to raise the idle speed slightly as the pump loads the engine. It reacts faster than the dampened IAC valve. You can remove it all but you may find the engine prone to stalling or suffering a very low idle speed when manoeuvring.
