GTE/GE Billet Cam Covers

Updated; "Originally for NA, now reviewing GTE versions as well".

I'm looking at making some billet 2JZ cam covers.

I was curious, if any NA owners would want a GE version allowing for the OEM intake.

Here is a photo of a similar style I was going for, this is a 7m cam cover setup;

The left hand cover on mine has been modified to clear the charge cooler, I have had 2 goes at it but the weld has cracked both times. At the mo it is parged over with liquid metal but it has a small yet unstoppable weep.

When you get going, you can knock me up one that will fit. :)

Not sure. It'll depend how fancy you want it. To begin with looking to just replicate them and also do a nice GTE version.

But modelling off the GE might as well offer an option .

Will keep you posted when I've some designs.

Won't be super expensive.

Started mocking up some designs today. Just turning the OEM 2JZGE into 3D. Then, model a billet version.

Afterwards, review a fancy design that'll suit GTE versions and GE with FFIM. Some nice designs to come for sure, lot's of surprises to come with this design.

Designs in progress;-

1. GTE/GE Covers with use of everything OEM - intake, vacuum etc

2. GTE/GE with custom vacuum ports for catch can / AN fitting hosing (including baffles)

3. GE with use of FFIM (Same as above really guys)

4. David P modified cover to clear charge cooler

5. Customer requested designs

6. Styles on the above units, which will be explained further nearer the time

If anyone has done this before, be great to have some feedback on what works and what doesn't.

I'm going this route as old TT covers are expensive (due to demand), and still need welding for AN fittings anyway.
