PI 3200 stall speed torque convertor

What does it actually do? Sorry daft question but im not overly clued up on them! Would it help handle more power than a stock Aristo one?

"Stall" basically means when the torque converter "locks-up" under a load. If you take a car with a 3200 stall converter and you hold your foot on the brake hard and hit the accelerator pedal at the same time (as if you were going to power brake) the RPM in which the tyres will break loose will be about 3200RPM.
