Burna
Unfortunately we won't be attending this next year, we can't justify the cost for 1 night, not forgetting petrol. Hope you all have a great time /QUOTE] That's a shame, but I completely understand. I was waiting for someone to mention the price increase, so I could explain fully why it has increased upon last years price. An overnight event like is this is very different to anything else on the Supra meet calendar. Until two years ago it had never been tried before, and there are good reasons for that. To hold an event like this at a country estate which are primarily wedding venues is very costly, especially in a prime wedding month like July. Typically a venue like Wroxall will wan't to generate a revenue of between £17500 to £27500 for a Saturday in July, as that's what they would generate from a wedding. So to have full exclusivity like we have at Wroxall you are typically looking at £270 to £420 per couple, for one day and night!. Obviously at that price it has always been a non starter in the past. Then two years ago Wroxall Abbey and Estate approached us at the classic car show, with an invite to an open day to view the hotel and venue, under their events offering called 'Wheels at Wroxall'. Now I presume they started up 'Wheels at Wroxall' to bolster revenue and not solely rely on wedding bookings, and generate alternate revenue from car clubs. After we had discussed prices with Wroxall, Wile and I could see that we could perhaps offer something to club members like nothing done before. Now after the costs that Wroxall initially offered, I spent a lot of time negotiating a better rate, so much so that we have been paying considerably less than other car clubs. Also compared to other car clubs we have a very 'bare bones' day, with just a BBQ.. Other clubs typically have a sit down meal aswell, which alone is £35-£40 per head, and overall spend a lot more per head with Wroxall than we have in the past. Due to this, this year Wroxall have insisted we come more inline with what other clubs pay, and also come nearer to the minimum revenue that Wroxall require for the day. On top of the cost to Wroxall we also have to budget for entertainment through out the day and night, which Wile works magic booking things like the scalextric with the very limited budget he gets! Also after last years event a lot of you asked for extra food on the evening, along with a better selection from the BBQ along with a pudding/desert. The extras you've asked for has helped us get nearer to the minimum spend that Wroxall has required from us this year, but also to bring us inline with the price other clubs pay, the room cost has increased, along with the basic cost of the BBQ, before the extras, and we are still getting a better deal than most clubs. Also besides the extra food this year, we are taking advantage of a longer day at Wroxall and starting the event at midday instead of 3pm like previous years, also Wile will be arranging you more entertainment and activities throughout the day and night. Hopefully now you can see and understand why the price increase this year, and I'm sure you all understand that an event of this kind, and on this scale, is never going to be cheap. It's a one of a kind each year for this club, and the ticket price reflects that, and is still a good deal. As always Wile and myself thank you for supporting this unique event, and we hope with the support of you buying tickets and selling out the event, that the 'S Club Party' can continue for another year

Al Massey
I knew someone would mention the price lol Whilst I agree it's a tad expensive(than usual) but meeting up with all the members at a very lovely place is amazing. Do we still have the discount on the bar prices??
ripped_fear
I would personally rather pay the slightly higher rate, and get looked after better by the staff The venue is stunning, and all the work that burna, darren, and the others involved put in makes it superb, but I personally think the price we have previously paid has been reflected in what wroxall provides in addition to the room. I think this year sounds spot on tbh.

Do we still have the discount on the bar prices?? Yeah, we were expecting the price to be questioned, and rightly so. I hope my explanation answers peoples questions about the price. The concession on the bar prices has been removed this year by the directors of Wroxall. It is something they have never offered anyone before or since we had it, we were the first. I'm not happy that it's been withdrawn, but they will not budge.

As with everything, you will see an inflation in price year on year- plus the fact that more food and entertainment is involved, so not arguing about how the price has gone up, just saying that unfortunately it's just a bit out of our price range lol I totally agree with others in saying the hard work you and wile put into this event, I know how involved it is (I've organised big events in the past with work) so credit to you both for getting this organised and making sure everyone has a great time. But as said before, I'm sure all current and new members who go will enjoy, as it is very unique and nice to have something different for club members [emoji4]

That way it gives members 8 months to make the final payment by.
Burna
I've been asked by a couple of people whether they can pay in full when the tickets go up for sale. I don't have a problem with that, and will include an "Optional - Pay in full ticket" in the club shop on Saturday for those that wish to pay and get it out of the way
