Jdm ecm engine and throttle control

Twin turbo

Best bet is to check the part codes and match it up with the one you already have if trying to replace a faulty unit. There are two different throttle control units that I'm aware of just for the GTE Auto (possibly more). They do have different codes on them and one takes a single larger plug whereas the other takes two smaller plugs. If you've got a manual car, I have no idea.

Hmm, maybe it's just the Jap ones then. I've certainly got two different ones in my flat at the moment (only certain one of them is for the supra as it's the same as mine. The other is claimed to be from a supra...) because I bought the wrong part first time round.

Mine (Jap '97) takes part 89670-14050 (two plugs side by side and much smaller), the other one I have is part 89671-14010.

Thanks for the PM, I hadn't realised the very late gen 2 cars, but pre VVTI engines, with the snow button used yet another throttle control ecu part number, and again different numbers between manual and auto models. Thanks for that Ian.
