fuel pressure

A few seconds, the main ecu sends a "run the pump" signal to the fuel pump ecu at the back of the car. Without a crank signal the main ecu stops sending the "run the pump" signal after a few seconds. The pump ecu runs the pump at 12V during purge and cranking.

Start at the pump and see if it is getting 12V when the ignition is turned on, then work forwards. I am not sure if the engine ecu outputs 12V or 5V or goes to ground as a signal to the pump ecu. A Syvecs expert will know.

Cheers Chris I will have a look.

Actually on the VVTi (and I think the none VVTi is the same) The fuel pump control from the main ecu outputs a 0V to 5V Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal which is connected to the Fuel Pump ECU to control fuel pump speed. You'd need a `scope to look at that.

Got an old crypton 336 at work I think that should do the job.

I've got a hks piggy back ecu on I wonder if that might be playing up
