The Motoring Trade in this country is as currupt as F*ck! as we all know(watch ya wallet, and watch them if you can) :drown:

If I can also add to this, Look out for the MVRA logo. It's not a guarantee that the garage is any good, but at least the owners are recognising this and trying to better themselves.

The purpose of the Code is to ensure MVRA members not only provide the best levels of service to their customers - respecting the statutory rights of the consumer - but that they also promote fair competition and business practices, thus enhancing their image and that of the entire vehicle repair industry.

As a regulatory body, MVRA maintains a strict Code of Practice. MVRA repairers agree to be bound by the Code, which governs the relationships between you and a repairer, and the repairer and us.

The MVRA Code aims to ensure that you receive the best possible service from your MVRA member, from first contact to completion of repair and return of vehicle, from after sales service to the information you receive, and in the way they handle any complaint you may have.

A Merc S500 is repaired at the "back street" garage which works on our cars. The owner takes it to Mercedes (90 quid an hour) for servicing, and tells them to let him know if any repairs are needed. Merc do the oil change (which costs a small fortune), stamp the book, then anything like pads, ball joints, plugs etc. are done (with genuine parts where appropriate) for £35 an hour instead of £90.

.

Yep thats the best scenario, especially if you want the stamps too......jesus though....£90 per hour...thats robbery. :help:

Yep this MRSA thing sounds good Rogue...think my local Hospital is a member of that too!

:p
