6-SPEED, FACELIFT, TWIN TURBO, VVTi, LOW MILEAGE, BLACK SUPRA - FRESH IMPORT FOR SALE

For Sale is my Toyota Supra Twin Turbo. Just putting this advert on here before I advertise on flea-bay and the usual other places as I really want this car to go to a loving home and hope that it will be picked up by either a member or a friend of theirs.

Anyone who knows these cars will know just how rare it is to find a car like this for sale. Late model, facelift, black, VVTi, 6-Speed cars with the recaro seats, that are near stock, unmolested with stock body parts and have low mileage just don't come up for sale anymore. When I decided to buy a car of those specs I had to wait literally months and months before any came through the auction houses - and the first couple that did were rejected due to being too low in quality. ***This car comes with spare key and factory booklets and documents including japanese service history which is very rare indeed!***

This particular car was bought by me as my second supra project and I planned to keep it for a very long time. I was going to get it to around 650BHP and get the 7-Speed DCT Gearbox conversion from Whifbitz. I have however had a serious change in circumstances. I have just bought a new house which is going through now and with family situation changing I am unfortunately going to need something more practical.

In the short time it has been in the UK it has been given a full nut and bolt check over by Leighton (the owner of Pro Garage in Warmley) and treated to a full underseal to protect it against the harsh UK roads and keep the chassis mint and rust free. I have also had James (the owner of Restomod bodyshop in Warmley) give it a full mop to make sure that the paintwork on the car is as flawless as it possibly can be without a full respray. Both are happy to be contacted to confirm the spec/condition of the car and everything written in this advert.

Driving wise, the car runs very smoothly with no flat spots, boost leaks or misfires etc, and pulls very strongly in all gears. Being near stock the boost builds from an insanely low rpm and this makes the car amazing for lazy driving and just cruising along…it just drives in any gear at any revs. When pressing on the power comes in smoothly in all gears…these really are a lovely car to drive around in this state of tune. It has only ever been filled with Shell Optimax V-Power Nitro+ in my care.

The only bad points of the car are as follows. Firstly some of the alloys (if you plan on keeping the stock ones) could do with a refurb. Secondly, despite the mop bringing the paint to an excellent standard please bear in mind this is a 17 year old car on original japanese paint. Whilst there are now no swirls or scratches, there is a tiny amount of bubbling/rust around the rear wiper hole and also a palm sized patch of paint that is thinned out on the front bumper (which is shown clearly in the photos). There are also a couple of tiny pin dents that had to be pointed out to me by the bodyshop owner. Despite all this, it is definitely the nicest example of original black paintwork on any Supra I have seen.

I am happy to answer any questions you have. If yourself or anyone you know are interested in the car please check you are able to be covered and can afford the insurance before wasting your time with a test drive. The car is based in Bristol and the private plate will be coming with me.

PRICE: £21,500 (sensible offers considered - purchase only - no part/ex) ***DEPOSIT TAKEN***

This price is based on not only just covering my costs (not making money like an importer!), but what is available on the market. This is an appreciating classic and will only increase in value. It will make a great investment or an incredible base for a top level project car. I have spoken to a specialist company owner on this forum and also visited a top level importer this week who have confirmed the value of this vehicle being at a sensible level. I am though as stated above keen for it to go to a fellow enthusiast and caring home so am open to offers.

Thanks for looking

Tommo

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. Much appreciated.

Like I said I saw that an importer sold something like this for £30,000 a few months ago. I am a true supra enthusiast - my last project was being built for 3.5 years! - and I would just like to see it go to a good home with someone who will appreciate it. Perfect base for an investment or top level build...

I could break a bank for this lol !

This is exactly the car I had purchased if my Aristo were gone.

Hope this won't sell too quick :p

Good luck with the sale though !

Get that aristo out the door and get the car you know you really wanted in the first place hahaha!

Haha if it sells, I will 100% contact you if not too late.

When was the car imported ?

The car has been undersealed, but how was the body before it ? This to avoid seeing rust under this nice sealant.

Well I hope yours sells quickly then lol!

Believe the car landed end of May off the top of my head - can check the exact date if required.

The car was in great shape underneath before the underseal! The only rusty part was part of the petrol tank cover! As I mentioned in the advert - people don't have to take my word for it - both Leighton @ Pro Garage and James @ Restored can back up what is written in the advert.

With the front mount being fitted does it still have the stock front undertray?

It looks like it's on the stock 16" wheels so jspec brakes?

What's the service history?

Service history details would indeed be handy for a prospective buyer.

J-spec brakes and standard 16" wheels are fine on a stockish car.

A blingly set of 6 pot calipers and flashy rotors adds very little value, and screams track day abuse.

Completely agree, I'm looking to have my next supra as stock as possible, side mount included. But I would upgrade to Uk brakes with the same setup on my old car along with stock 17's

Sorry for the delay guys...cant get on here at work!

Front mount fitted and as far as I'm aware the stock undertray is still there as well. I'm hoping thats due to it being an expensive one from a well known brand rather than a generic eBay jobbie.

Yes it is on the stock 16" wheels and has the j-spec brakes.

Forgot to mention a few things in the original advert (which i will edit now) but it does have a spare key and the owners handbook and pack along with a load of service history and garage reports etc. However as you would expect they are all in japanese lol.
