New Toyota Landcruiser - Engine and Traction Light Problems

Guys,

I know we have a few Toyota tech specialists on the forum so here goes:

I bought the new Toyota Landcruiser a few months ago but I'm now having issues with the Engine Management light and the Traction Light appearing on first start-up (they stay on BTW). I've phoned Toyota UK and apparently there have been a number of recent reports involving the new Landcruiser and the EM Light; they made no mention of the TC light during my chat with them yesterday.

I have it booked in at a Toyota dealer but does anyone have the inside line on the problem?

The mileage is about 4,000.

Cheers all,

Andrew

Hopefully a minor new car glitch before those few hundred thousand trouble free miles!

Thanks mate, but sadly for me they only ordered the injector and not the seals to go with it.

Just about every guy on this forum knows that you have to change the seals when you change an injector unit but not Mr Toyota.

Very poor indeed.

It turned out to be a faulty injector. It also appears that it has been like that since we picked it up from the dealer.

Great eh; the Taliban get hundreds of thousands of miles out of their Landcruisers and yet I can't even get around Durham on the A-roads with mine :)

Was gonna say, out in Dubai you have tonnes of them around and love how huge they make them. Seen them with 400Km on the clock and they are still running smoothly. Colleague of mine has one too and we drove to Abu Dhabi in it, was very nice smooth drive which was pretty good considering it is incredible off roader too.
