Burna
TomTom ITN files (Old model TomToms) Download the zip file and unpack it. There will be 8 files in there, each around 1k. Plug your TomTom in to your PC and it should appear as a new drive (probably D: or E: drive) Find the ITN folder, copy the 8 files into there, wait for it to finish and then unplug it. Now as a test, power up the TomTom, go to the Itinerary option, select Options and choose load Itinerary and load up the first file. Then click DONE and let it plan the route. It will plan from your current location but you should find it routes out of Calais to a the break before the tunnel run. Then, once on Dragonball, at the start of each stage (Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon, Friday morning etc) you load up the next Itinerary file, let it plan the route and off you go.DBv2 2016 TomTom Routes ITN.zip Edited August 25, 2016 by Burna (see edit history)
Burna
TomTom GPX files (New model TomTom GO's) Download the zip file and unpack it. There will be 8 files in there, each between 55k and 220k. Log into TomTom MyDrive with your TomTom account. Then on the left of the screen go to 'MY ROUTES', you will then see an option at the bottom of that panel to 'IMPORT A GPX FILE'. Import each of the DB routes until all 8 routes are showing. You will have to rename each route after you import it, but this is easily done by copying and pasting the name from each of the files you unpacked earlier. Turn on your satnav and log into your Tomtom account, you will find this under the 'TomTom Services' icon. Connect your TomTom via smartphone Bluetooth tether or to your PC via USB. Once connected it will sync with 'My Drive' and the routes will start to appear in 'My Routes'. Then, once on Dragonball, at the start of each stage (Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon, Friday morning etc) you load up the next route file, let it plan the route and off you go.DBv2 2016 TomTom Routes GPX.zip
Burna
Garmin GPX files Firstly, make sure your Garmin is charged, you will need battery power later on. Secondly, we have found that there are two possible methods for inputting the routes into the Garmins. From testing some people have success with method one, some have success with method two. Method 1 - No memory card installed in your Garmin Download the zip file and unpack it. There will be 8 files in there, each between 70k and 300k. Plug your Garmin in to your PC and it should appear as a new drive (probably D: or E: drive) Find the GPX folder, copy the 8 files into there, wait for it to finish and then unplug it. This is important, unplug everything from the Garmin, it doesn't seem to like loading the routes into the software while connected to the PC or on charge. Power up the Garmin, go to 'Apps' then 'Trip Planner', once you open 'Trip Planner' you will see a spinning circle, this means the routes are loading. Slowly all the DB routes will start to appear. I find the Garmin to be very glitchy, so if it doesn't work the first time try again, it took me five attempts If still no joy then try method 2 below. Method 2 - With a memory card installed in your Garmin Download the zip file and unpack it. There will be 8 files in there, each between 70k and 300k . Plug your Garmin in to your PC and it should appear as a new drive (probably D: or E: drive) Find the 'Memory Card' folder and open it, copy the 8 files into there, wait for it to finish and then unplug it. This is important, unplug everything from the Garmin, it doesn't seem to like loading the routes into the software while connected to the PC or on charge. Power up the Garmin, go to 'Apps' then 'Trip Planner', and all the routes should be shown. Now as a test, power up the Garmin, go to 'Apps' then 'Trip Planner', select the first route and press 'Go!' Then, once on Dragonball, at the start of each stage (Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon, Friday morning etc) you load up the next route file, let it plan the route and off you go.DBv2 2016 Garmin Routes GPX.zip Edited August 31, 2016 by Burna (see edit history)
