Tsia
Afternoon all, I'm trying to pop my injectors out to get them tested & cleaned as they seem to be sticking. They're SARDs, but fitted on the standard rail. How on earth do you get the throttle body off?! I've located the two bolts underneath it, but they're nigh-on impossible to get to, let alone undo to remove the TB from the manifold. So, I have two questions! 1. Is it possible to somehow remove the injectors/fuel rail without taking the intake manifold off 2. If not, has anybody got a rough guide on removing the TB and intake manifold? Chris Wilson
There are FOUR bolts holding the throttle body on. You also need to remove 2 water heating hoses from it. All are easy to reach with a three eighths drive socket set
Mk4Gaz
Yep, as Chris says. A 3/8 socket set, with a long extension for the bottom bolts. They're 12mm heads. Only takes 5 mins
