Paul372
Some prick hit my car yesterday at 12.53 at mc Donald's car park greenhithe while it was parked up, lucky for me a nice member of the public witnessed it and got the car reg KF15FNL. I wasn't in the supra luckily but they caused quite a bit of damage to my Audi A6, paint damage to the front bumper, front number plate, grill and even the Audi badge right the way across the front end of the Audi I've reported it to the police but I'm not convinced they will actually do anything because I've had this happen to in the pass and they just seem to get away it, how can I find out where this prick lives if the police doesn't come up with anything
Noz
Don't they have video footage. It'll be insurance I believe. Aside from leaving a traffic accident I'm not sure they'd take it very serious if a car wasn't badly damaged. Report to your insurance ASAP and enquire to assistance from mac d where you visited. Paul372
I spoke to the manager in mc Donald's they wasn't very helpful and didn't seem to care, they said they have no cameras facing on to the car park and that the cameras there our not there's but belong to the parking firm that controls parking fines if people over stay there time, so I contacted them but got nowhere, they said they would only let the police have the footage if the police contact them for it. I haven't contacted my insurance company yet as I can just see it being claimed off my insurance and I would rather just pay out of my own pocket to save the hassle. I would say they have probably done about £900 to £1200 of damage maybe more has it will need a new grill and you know what Audi part prices are like
el_bandido
I had my is300 written off in a car park while I was in the gym. Never got a reg and there was no CCTV. Shit when it happens but that's why I have insurance. It is now a lot more expensive as I lost all my no claims and had to declare an extra accident, but meh. a98pmalcolm
Could it be worth calling the Police also? They will know the address the car is registered to and visit to see if the damage lines up?
Dnk
I had this happen to my supra and nobody was interested in helping least of all the police. Unless your going to claim I see no point in telling your insurance either This might be of help https://www.gov.uk/request-information-from-dvla

Its not a traffic accident but a collision in a car park, no one injured and not on the highway so the police simply aren't interested i'm afraid. - - - Updated - - - Yeah that's the car I did a vehicle check on it cheers guys Good luck, hopefully you'll get the info and hopefully they'll pay up
Paul372
Well the car park is not gate so it is public and not private, if the police don't come up with any then it's looks like I will have to take the law into my own hands
Al Massey
Problem is the law changed a while back, so car vandalism, accidents etc aren't a criminal matter anymore. So you will get no joy from them.
Anh
I been to that McDonalds a few times, it's an unpleasant place to be - I would be seeing red if an obnoxious BMW ever done that to my car. Hope you get your car sorted with minimal cost to you. Anh
