Milo500
Hi guys, got a bit of a big dilemma Just chaged the fuel pump to a walbro 255, turns out it had one in there before haha, but since that I have been getting horrendous mpg. As in I have a 10 minute drive and it goes down about 3-4 bars on the fuel gauge (without even going near the throttle, just pottering around. I can't smell any fuel, so I have no idea. Any help very appreciated Cheers, Tom
Mike2JZ
Take fuel hanger back out and check you didn't damage the fuel sender when you put it in whilst changing pump. It's pretty fragile
j_jza80
As above. After Whifbitz fitted my new Walbro pump, the gauge was reading wrong. But it seemingly sorted itself out after a few days.
Chris Wilson
The fuel level sender has probably come out of a little clip when you removed / refitted the pump and sender unit. Take it out again and have a very careful look and you may find this is what has occurred.
