mattdavies
Unfortunately my stock radiator has given up the ghost so I am going to be running an 6 speed radiator, I have a 115mm 13row Oil cooler that I am going to use for my BPU transmission cooler as I am auto. Is one going to be enough ? I could possibly fit two ?
baldy
i would go bigger. where are you planning to fit it? i run a 235mm 25 row where the side mount was, but if you put it there you need a fan on it as well with a temp sensor. so when in traffic the fan will keep air flow moving through the core when oil temp rises. been running mine at bpu like this for years with no issues hth
mattdavies
Well I am now running the two 115mm 13 rows in the drivers side bumper intake. I believe they are too small for a fan. Will i be ok like this ? or should i also run a radiator mounted cooler ? Baldy are you using a auto radiator with the 25 row as a extra ? Chris Wilson
Plenty big enough unless you are going single turbo and running the auto box well past its torque design limits. You may even need to run a thermostat in the winter to stop over cooling, or blank one off with foil tape.
mattdavies
Well in the fear of not enough I have bought a tube and fin cooler. I have also bought an inline adapter for a temperature sensor. Although it would be best to run it in the box but for ease will run it in the return line. Big Mark
I'm about to go down the same route. I've got a Mishitimoto (LINK) one sat in front of air con rad but now I'm going single I'm looking to get something like this (LINK) or this (LINK) and use stock SMIC duct and one of these (LINK) plus a bit of tweaking and fibreglass to make is perfectly ducted. Just an idea.
