Help needed - EGT sensor Syvecs

Hey all,

Doing some workshop testing on the car today and noticed on my Dash 2 display my EGT was reading odd (started out at 2-3°c when running then popped up to 899°c after a few moments)

Looking at the Syvecs software it shows a RED error (too cold) on the EGT sensor and reads 2-3°c for a bit (when running) then suddenly jumps to 899 as well, so I am guessing that is the ECU telling me the sensor is dead.

Anyone else had this issue? If so what tests did you do to work out if it was the sensor or something else.

Ryan mentioned I should check the continuity on the sensor wires and if there is continuity then the sensor needs replacing.

But as I don't want to hassle him too much are there any other tests that I can do, say if the sensor does not have continuity.
