Autoglass

I don't doubt they possibly get it right on lots of vehicles but not on mine, the sad farce to date

 

 

Booked with Autoglass on Wednesday 13/07/2016, told them exactly what

was needed

 

Called me on Friday 15/07/2016, i missed the call but returned it the same day, it was just another call asking me

about what i'd said in previous call.

 

They said someone would call me back to further discuss the job but nobody did.

 

Appointment was on Monday 18/07/2016, they brought the wrong screen, it was for a 2000 model P38, the

technician who came took all the details i'd already told Autoglass twice.

 

Having not heard from Autoglass I called them on Monday 25/07/2016 at 10:09hrs.

 

They said they'd called me on 15/07/2016 which i returned the call and then on 21/07/2016 but i had no

missed calls or messages.

They then said they will call me back as the girl that i was speaking to didn't appear to understand the situation

so why she called i have no idea.

 

I was called at 11:57hrs on Monday 25/07/2016 but the caller hung up after 1 ring, they then called me at 11:59hrs

but still not a clue as to what's going on, they were going to call me back the same afternoon.

 

No call back again and no missed calls on Monday 25/07/2016

No calls on the Tuesday 26/07/2016 no missed calls or messages

No calls on the Wednesday 27/07/2016 no missed calls or messages

No calls on the Thursday 28/07/2016 no missed calls or messagas

No calls on the Friday 29/07/2016 no missed calls or messages

No calls on the Saturday 30/07/2016 no missed calls or messages

 

 

 

 

Monday 01/08/2016 at 12:13hrs Charlotte Bardsley from Autoglass called me, she told me she was going to

sort everything out and gave me her email address and asked me to send her photos of my Range Rover

 

Monday 01/08/2016 at 12:38hrs i emailed her photos of the Range Rover.

Monday 01/08/2016 14:58hrs i emailed her the list of part numbers required

Tuesday 02/08/2016 11:15hrs i emailed to confirm the part numbers after i had spoken to Guy Salmon Land Rover

Tuesday 02/08/2016 16:10hrs i emailed to confirm the part numbers and also gave an option of another outlet for the parts.

 

No response from Charlotte or anyone else from Autoglass

 

Wednesday 03/08/2016 12:29hrs i called to find out what's going on, i was told Autoglass had the screen and the

trims were ordered Autoglass would be in touch to arrange fitting the screen once they had the trims.

 

Thursday 04/08/2016 12:31hrs i was called by Sheryl who told me they can't do the job as the parts are not available. It would

appear she knew nothing of the emails and information that i'd already sent.

 

I told Sheryl the parts are available and had sent Charlotte all the info required. Sheryl said she would call Charlotte and she

used to work with her and get her to contact me to let me know exactly where we're at.

 

The rest of Thursday 04/08/2016 no contact from anyone after Sheryl's call !!!!

 

Friday 05/08/2016 no calls or emails from Autoglass, what great customer service !!

Saturday 06/08/2016 no calls or email

 

Rant over and good luck if you use these clowns.

 

I'm calling my insurance comp on Monday and see what they have to say, hopefully I can

use someone else but i'm not holding my breath

Autoglass, another systemized business. Wouldnt let them near a Supra, everytime someone i know has had these places fit a screen somethings wrong. Wrong seals or leaks.

 

They hire anyone who qualifies and sends them out after a few goes watching videos and playing with tools. Idiots. Got a quote years ago to remove a screen 300 and something. Clowns.

 

If they were the only choice, your better of getting the windscreen removal/fitting kit for like 50 quid and do it yourself.

My problem is they are my insurance companies recommended glass company, unless my insurance on Monday say ok

to use somebody else i'm a tad stuck as I don't really want to be picking up the bill seeing as I have windscreen cover

with a £75 excess

 

Had one quote from a private comp and without the trims they want £375 to supply and fit a new screen

 

The trims are around another £250

I didn't have a problem with them when i got the screen on the supra replaced, saying that i havent driven it yet or seen rain with it so who knows it might even leak, but safe to say terrible customer service to you.

 

My experience with them was different, phoned my insurance company they then sorted it out with auto-glass, auto glass came out and fitted glass and phoned to say it was complete.

Well so far nothing from Autoglass !!

 

I just called my insurance company who have sent my complaint onto Autoglass.

 

They have also said they will get Nationwide to contact me regarding sorting the

windscreen out, I wonder how this will go !!

I feel your pain. I'm just about to take all my windows out. I hope you find someone to sort it and still eligible for insurance to cover the bills because it's an issue so many people haven't had, you shouldn't be any different.

 

 

Are any other nationwide companies recommended?

I think i'd find a private window tech if I were you, I used one local to me

to do my mkiv when I re painted it. Way cheaper than the national companies

 

If I didn't have windscreen cover i'd use a local guy who's done a few Range Rovers at the local restoration

company I use.

 

It could possibly end up that way yet unless Nationwide can think outside the box but sadly I have my doubts,

they just punch the reg into the database and it comes up parts not available

Autoglass are a bunch of monkeys, had a guy come in to do a sprinter van. Watched him break almost everything removing trims, scratched up the paintwork, smashed the glass trying to get it out (not that it was going to be of any use...but still) then figured out they had the wrong windscreen for the job. Do these people not read anything?! Surely the head office should be telling them exactly what is required and actually refer to the correspondence between themselves and customer, to ensure the right parts are delivered to the right places. I just cant believe how such a big company is so bloody disorganised

Nationwide just called me, or should I say Turbo Windscreens of B'ham

 

The lady I spoke too listened to what I've said and gave me her email so I could

send the parts list and part numbers required to do the job.

 

She emailed me back within 3 minutes saying she will look into the job and call me

back, that's better than Autoglass managed so i'll see how this pans out

how much did it cost to have the windows removed and put back in as i am about to respray mine.

 

The chap who did my Supra was well known to my mate who owned the bodyshop where it was and did me

a deal for cash, it was a few years ago but pretty sure it was under £200 :)

They're crap, I had to use them a couple of years ago due to them being on my insurance also.

 

I got told it was discontinued, not available etc.

 

They managed to confuse themselves with the green/blue import/uk model options and it just went on and on for weeks.

I have chippy messing me around along with an electrician and a guy whos supposed to be quoting

to do the drive to add to the Autoglass farce

Autoglass really haver reached a new level of uselessness

 

Charlotte from Autoglass just called me to say they can't get the trims from Land Rover as they're no longer listed, I said well don't worry

Nationwide are doing the job now and have apparently got everything ordered for Wednesday onwards.

 

I thought i'd call the local Land Rover dealer just to confirm the parts haven't suddenly become unavailable and surprise surprise all the parts

are still available and if I ordered them now they'd be at the dealer on Wednesday
