chrex
Hey guys, So im looking at swapping my NA out for a TT this winter and already planning various considerations. I have read on here a few times that the standard ecu is untouchable and you cant piggy back...so what are my options? Im looking to get the fuel map tweaked for engine mods and hopefully run anti lag. What sort of thing am i going to need for this? Cheers, Chris
Gaz6002
A standalone ECU like a Syvecs or a Motec and someone to map it. Not cheap, but no point spending less.
chrex
Right ok, so have to go full standalone? Aye, initially im just going to run the standard one but looking at cams and bigger turbos in future to take the anti lag so will need good stuff. Noz
I'm going AEM infinity. Seems to hold all the features without the extreme price tag.
berg
You can use a piggy back for fueling, not for anti lag though What setup are you going for, single turbo?
Chris Wilson
The best way to prep for conversion is to stash what you believe to be enough money away, then stash the same amount again and hope there's some left when it's all done Fitting old used engines to old cars is never straightforward and you will probably want to freshen it up *BEFORE* it's fitted.
