97 Single won't idle

I'm new to this forum but I am on Supra forums. Iv got a 97 single with a t76 running aem v1. I just purchased the car last week and this idling problem started yesterday. At first it would surge/lope at idle and that progressively got worse. Yesterday it would shut off everytime I came to a stop light. I pulled the iacv just now and cleaned it. That didn't seem to make a difference. It's a tempormental thing. If I rev it up without the clutch in, it doesn't die but gets pretty low. If the clutch is in she dies. Any suggestions on this? Also this maybe a very elementary question.... Can I still pull codes with the aem from the obd2? Or is it all through the aem? It's hard figuring out stuff when I didn't build that car but I enjoy it. Anywho I'm glad to be here on the forum, Iv had a tt 6speed bpu and an na in the past. So happy to have another again. Any advice on this issue would be a tremendous help. Thanks!

I don't like the fact it stalls when you have the clutch pedal depressed, this sounds like excessive crankshaft thrust bearing friction. Could conceivably be clutch release bearing friction. Are there any whirring noises with the clutch pedal depressed? What clutch is fitted? Get a garage to check the crank end float!!

Thank you for all your replies. I took the day off to try and figure this thing out. The car runs fantastic under a load. I pulled all the plugs and they all seem normal. This morning I cranked the car and let it idle in the driveway for about 20min. I could not get it to idle rough or shut off. Only once did it do it and that was with the clutch engaged. I think I can rule out the clutch being engaged or not as contributing to the problem. It makes no difference in rpm if I am at idle depressing it or not. Also no strange noises with it depressed. As for afr. I'm around 14 at cruising speed and about 11.3 at wot. Again it didn't stall out one time during my cruise, all was normal. Ill keep tinkering and checking back periodically throughout the day. Can I pull codes through the obd2 if the car has a standalone? Sorry if it dump question. I'm very mechanically inclined I just have 0 experience when it come to standalones so this is a learning experience for me. Thanks

The car has a RPS pressure Plate. Also a RPS 6 puck Carbon clutch

I would imagine if you have the AEM lead and software you can view sensor outputs in real time, and even possibly log them. That would be a Godsend for diagnosing something like this.

I doubt you will have a fuel pressure sensor, but if it persists it *MAY* be useful to monitor fuel pressure at the rail with a remote gauge on a really good high pressure braided hose.

That's a good idea. There is a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to the regulator that's routed behind the intake manifold. That pressure seems great. I just did a boost leak test and did find a leak where the throttle body bolts to the intake manifold. It's pretty audible standing close to the car. I put 20psi of pressure in the system. I don't know if this would have anything to do with it. What do y'all think?

Maybe this will help figure this out as well. That car has been idling fine but I took it out last night and it was breaking up some under wot. Now I'm running rich. Around 10.5 at cruising speed

I did notice when I checked the plugs the other day 4 out of 6 coil connectors are broken on the inside. The little white clips on the inside of the plugs were brittle and fallen apart. I ordered all new clips yesterday. It's not misfiring though so I assume they are making good contact
