I have been using a rotary for ages on the boat but on car paint I have no idea what speed I should be using for cutting and finishing

I have 6 speed settings as you can see below

Hook and loop adapter plate

Orange waffle cutting pads with black waffle finishing pads

What speed should I be cutting (Orange pad) at with this rotary?

And what speed with the (Black Pad) finishing pad?

Using Megs 205 and 105 ultra cut and finish.

I have the same DA by the looks of it and usually use 3.5-4 with a firm pressure too, but I am very comfortable with it and have DA'd 100s of cars.

Start off 2-3 with light pressure and take your time, go over left-right then up-down 3,4 maybe 5+ times.

The problem is there is no answer, a cheap 90s hatch doesn't need much pressure or speed to burn through, conversely a new BMW you could polish at a higher speed and a lot of pressure without any adverse effects.

I learnt on my own crappy cars at the time, burnt through loads of times before I got it down
