boostman
Having not felt another supras brakes how far does the pedal travel before they do anyone. My pedal moves around 2 inches before any braking occurs and it's quite a soft pedal. Not spongy but lacks feel. Iv tested the servo and that's working, iv bled the brakes and I had a garage change the fluid and bleed them again. The garage said they have no idea why the brakes are so poor. Any help appreciated
Scooter
They are a bit "like that" compared to a lot of modern stuff. Might be worth looking at the rubber hose sections to the calipers as they are likely originals and may expand. Check all the slider pins and pistons are freely moving first. Scooter
NB if you can get the abs to kick in or lock them up if you don't have abs then they are not 'very' poor, can you do that?

boostman
The pistons are ok, the rear slider pins are a little sticky. I'll try and lock it up but I don't think it will. I can slam my foot down and it stops quickly, but it's never locked up. My wife's Berlingo can stop quicker! Haha
boostman
Braided hoses will help a lot to Will they help with the initial lack of braking when the pedal is first pressed? I can see how they'd help under heavy braking though.
