Guest Budz86
Bottom end is likely to hold up better than the head. If you can stretch to it, refresh the head and stick some cams. Bottom end would be good later down the line for peace of mind or if you get a problem. Otherwise you need to pull the block and there's a long list of 'might as well since it's out!' TT Paul
ye thats kinda where im thinking of going. but as others have said fit twin pumps get a remap... first. gonna do compression, leak down test before anything. so would this be a good plan check test compression etc.. fit twin pumps then remap. get a built head if needed or just do it. Guest Budz86
If you can stretch to it, just do it. If not, just take the chance. Cams would be a good idea but then you're part of the way there with the head anyway. Make sure the remap is last too!

Guest Budz86
Not almost, they will need shimming when they go in. Hence saying he's half way there
