ibby
My house has been burgled. On Wednesday the 13th. Three individuals burgled my house by smashing my rear patio door window. They took eberything they could including my privacy. Things that have been stolen are stuff that has been handed over generations- Golden neckless's, Wedding rings, gold bangles. I will have pictures of these things somewhere right now i am still cleaning up the mess. I am probably not going to get anything back but what i would like to do is, have them locked up so they cant hurt anyone else. They have masks, balaclavas and gloves. I have security footage, my house alarm was sounding but none of the walkers by helped by calling the police I understand alot of people wont want to get involved in the mess but i urge you to call crimestoppers quoting ref number 13160299722 My location is Wakefield. Could people post this about on social media, forums, twitter, bebo and whatever else people use and help me find these individuals.
mellonman
That walk on the guy in the first vid , is quite distinctive must know your house and would of cased it previously , depending on how long you recordings go back you might see them checking it out without masks or the knowledge of the camera. mwilkinson
Are there any cameras down the street from the direction they walked into the property? Do any of your neighbours have any CCTV down the road that look out onto the street like yours? I would be surprised if they didn't have a car somewhere. I'd also scout for local authority CCTV. Did any of your neighbours get burgled? Lots of things I would check. The Police should have done this too, but if you know the area well, then you have a better chance of getting something that they might easily overlook. Fitz
Quite brave of them to burgle a house off the main road and in broad daylight. I hope they catch these guys and hope you get your stuff back.
Havard
One of my pet hates is burglars. Why earn your way though life when you can just take someone else's stuff. I have been lucky enough to see some of these people take a real kicking, no where near enough though. H.
Al Massey
Holy shit! Only round the corner from me really. Really hope you find out who these idiots are. They have clearly scoped your place out first.
Abz
Really sorry to hear this, looking at the footage it is clear all 3 of them knew about the camera. They covered themselves as soon as they turned into your house well aware of the position of the camera. Without a doubt they have already been in that entrance, they seem confident about where they were going. Chances are they will lay low and strike again in the neighbourhood. In London we have seen a HUGE increase in robbery, mainly targetting asian households, most of the people who have been caught are from Eastern Europe. They generally target the asian homes as they are aware that a lot of the ladies have gold jewellery and other jewellery which is worth quite a bit. Two of my sisters have had their house burglered and they did not touch none of the house... only went into the master bedroom in both cases and took all the jewellery. My brother in law had a DSLR sitting on the table, laptops etc they ignored all that and went just for the jewerelly in the rooms. My eldest sister who works as a teacher came home with my nephew and it really shook her up, my little nephew too as he kept thinking somebody was going to come into the house. Police came round and confirmed they have seen a huge increase in the last few years of this type of theft (and it used to be VERY rare before). They didn't catch them, like you sister didn't really care about the value even though it was in the thousands, some of the items were handed down and that meant more than anything. I hope they are caught and the items returned back to you. Please go up and down your neighbourhood and let everyone know. The direction they came from would be a good place to start to look for clues. Good luck.
ibby
Thanks guys, if you are local would really like if you can put this link on facebook twitter, someone knows these people. I have been too all the local shops, asked all the residents to check cctv. Nothing has come back. My family has worked hard all the life and stuff they have takrn can never be replaced. Stuff like my grandmas wedding ring. Mums and wifes wedding jewls. They have definitly scoped my house out. Approx 4 months ago, we had a knock on the door myum opened the door no one was present. I brushed it off as children playing dirty buggers. Neighbours had an attempted burgley i chased them offbdown the street. That was 5/6 years ago. No local athority cctv on my strech. Kendo11
You have my sympathies. My parents had the same a few years ago a their house, took everything of value and lots of things of huge sentimental value. They got some of it back, the guy was a known burglar in the local area. Served a few months in prison and got out and got caught breaking into someone's house again. I hope you get some of the sentimental things back. Hitbox Junkie
try looking in the local pawn shops for the jewelry. The walk was very distinctive and they look to have known about the camera as they covered up and the 3rd guy looked to have no mask but used his hand over his face. SupraP-Z
I still think robbers should have their hands chopped off, no matter who they are. stuff like this really makes my blood boil, hope they get caught and you get back everything that was stolen

supra_ufo
wish i had seen this earlier Ibby, im from Huddersfield so not that far. My old house which is currently not being lived in has had the wall stones stolen (yorkshore stone) and a few days go broken into, nothing stolen but walls vasilised with spray paint that was in one of the rooms. I would suggest getting security that emails you once it detects motion, maybe switch it on and test when you are away otherwise it will be annoying.
