ellis
Mrs G's car is currently in hospital for surgery. Two things she needs to know: 1. Is this fubared or will it clean and be treatable? 2. What is it called if she needs to find a replacement? Thanks in advance
Ric
It's the subframe isnt it? it looks fine to me, mostly surface rust, bit of a wire drill attachment and treatment would see that right imo.
Guest Budz86
What Ric said, looks like surface rust and should clean up. Might be easier to media blast and powder coat or stone chip it, then if it's any deeper you'll see. Plus it will look nice! Shot blast acid dip then a powder coat will be good as new:)

Swampy442
Im undertaking said surgery and my stance is, if you're going to remove it to acid dip etc, Id say its best to replace that with a better frame to start with. But Ill give it a bash and see how deep the habit hole goes...
