No boost - single turbo supra

So, after more fettling took the Supe back for it's retest today, on the way there it wasn't boosting at all. When I got there I found an intercooler pipe had blown off post intercooler which was from when I removed it to replace power steering pump.... Whoops.

So I sorted it, tightened it all up and all seemed good.

Anyway, MOT certificate was duly granted (happy days!) and I set off home. Car drove perfectly, turned up the EBC and saw about 17psi at one point and the car was like a rocket ship :D (turns out it was being in manual that made me think the auto box was problematic! In D it set off in first and worked flawlessly.)

BUT... got about 5 miles further towards home and I noticed the car wasn't boosting again.... Like zero positive boost. I was nearly back by that point so limped home. Running rich as would be expected. The same boost pipe wasn't off again, it was rock solid so I drew a blank there.

Anyway, I have been back under it tonight. Checking everywhere for boost leaks (like huge ones) and I have been through every bit of pipework I can think of and can't see what could be the issue? Anyone got any ideas where to look ?

I am planning to do a boost leak test (got to rig up the kit) but this isn't not holding boost, it's not making boost and super sluggish. It just won't get on boost now. I cant see how a boost leak that isnt a pipe off could cause such loss!!!

A vac line wouldnt cause such a huge drop either surely? (and I've checked them and they all seem fine)

Turbo seems sweet, no shaft play and in very good condition so I don't believe that is the cause at this stage.

Wastegate stuck open? ?

All help appreciated :)

Can you still hear the turbo it will be louder with a pipe off , but im pritty sure its just as simple as that, the thing is if you get no boost from a turbo means the sharft is not spinning which would conclued catastrophic failure and engine oil would be passing the seals so you would know about it

Well I took all boost pipes off, removed all the nice looking but useless mikalor wide clamps and replaced them all with jubilees... Result!!! getting boost again! Got an issue with the auto box now though I'm sure. Will make a new thread! cheers
