j_jza80
It seems like you know more about the car than myself. To be fair, my observations are based purely on your pictures. Given the shocking standard of the respray, I wouldnt be surprised if it's hiding other issues. Like I said, take it to a respected Supra specialist or bodyshop, and get a quote for the work, and post up the quote on the forum. I've just been quoted for a similar job on my Corrado VR6 at £6k because of involves sorting out a poorly done paintjob. And the Corrado is a smaller car than a Supra. RACsupra
CAR COMPLETELY DONE TO NEW STANDARD Fairly new to the forums myself and if i'm overstepping the mark, then I apologise but! surely the quote above must be judged to be 'mis-leading' from a forum moderator point of view, just from looking at the photos supplied? confused??? Mike2JZ
Based purely off the photos and to fight the sellers corner a bit. The interior and engine bay look good, it's really only the paint that is letting down the car (assuming underside isn't rotten and mechanically everything is as it should be. Asking price is a tad high, but 6k offer suggestions are pretty laughable.

Read the mot history No way would I buy this without a thorough inspection on a ramp, maybe the op should invest in a set of part worns then put it through an mot He should also imo re word the advert as its very misleading

Frank Bullitt
Members on here are offering up constructive criticism and also making any potential buyer aware that things are not always what they seem. You state the car has been purchased from Mobeen Moe, the famous parts dealer. More like the infamous parts dealer, he was banned from this forum for a reason. By your own admission nothing has been done to the car since the MOT of 2008-2009. So rightly people are questioning how exactly this car has been bought up to and I quote "a new standard"? By your own admission nothing has been done to the car since the MOT of 2008-2009. So rightly people are questioning how exactly this car has been bought up to and I quote "a new standard"? So basically anyone related to Mobeen Moe or even mention his name is up for suspicion. Have you read the add? Just wondering as I have stated everything that has been done to the car quite clearly! I will do a quick recap: gearbox, torque converter, flexplate, shifter, prop shaft (77km) purchased from extreme performance with new fluids and Mishimoto Trans cooler (invoice) Coils packs, rocker cover gaskets, timing belt, belt tensioner, crank pulley + bolt, water pump + housing, hydraulic tensioner, spark plugs, alternator belt, engine oil, red life coolant, fuel pump, camshaft seals (Brand new with invoice) Hope that helps! Frank Bullitt
Not automatically up for suspicion per se but he was banned for a reason so you are going to have to put more effort in than others would. I can read, just between the lines like the rest of the members on here. Which is the reason you are getting your knickers in a twist! What about the knackered suspension from back in 2008 - 2009? Still fitted? What about the bald tyres from 2010 - 2011? Oh yes, that's right. You are leaving that up to the buyer to sort When was all this 0 mile work carried out and by whom? If you are so sure the car is in as good as condition as you claim, get it MOT'ed and prove us all wrong.

Suspension have been changed so as wheels arches, under engine tray, radiator, rear lights, seats, speedo etc.. A lot has been done to the car but I did not want to make the add too big; I was hoping the new parts with make people 'read between the lines'. Frank Bullitt
What suspension has been fitted (sorry if listed, can't see it) and when was this changed? Standard original suspension. So as it is still on original suspension I guess the problems mentioned in the past MOT still exist? Test Date: 22 January 2008 - 21 January 2009 Advisory notice item(s) Nearside Front Shock absorber has a slightly reduced damping effect (2.7.5) Offside Front Shock absorber has a slightly reduced damping effect (2.7.5) Nearside Rear Shock absorber has a slightly reduced damping effect (2.7.5) Offside Shock absorber has a slightly reduced damping effect (2.7.5) Nearside Front Shock absorber has a light misting of oil (2.7.3) Offside Front Shock absorber has a light misting of oil (2.7.3) Nearside Rear Shock absorber has a light misting of oil (2.7.3) Offside Rear Shock absorber has a light misting of oil (2.7.3) Front bumper insecure Suspension have been changed So is it standard original suspension or has it been changed... Frank Bullitt
Personally speaking, all this advert has made me think is that a few bits have been done to titivate the car to make it look okay at first glance. Purely in the hope of turning a quick buck off some poor unsuspecting buyer as the GZ is quite sought after and Supra prices are on the up. I'm no MOT expert but the test date 10 June 2009 - 9 June 2010 where is says "Front Body has slight displacement of the body relative to the chassis (6.1.B.1a)" gives me cause for concern. MOT history and previous owner issues aside. Changing your story regarding the suspension hasn't helped, the fact the car has been stood for so long doesn't help and no MOT won''t help. I fail to understand this I did not want to make the add too big; I was hoping the new parts with make people 'read between the lines'. as it makes no sense if you are trying to sell the car. Why did you buy the car and not use it? Can the car be driven as it's been stood for so long? When was all this 0 mile work carried out and by whom? Any videos of the car starting from cold so we can hear the engine running? Why won't you fit some road legal tyres and get the car MOT'ed? Probably swapped for as new 0 miles suspension

The car will be put through MOT in the next couple of weeks. The car sale is currently on standby until MOT is completed. Rgds
