Hi guys, hope someone can shed some light on my situation.

4 weeks ago i remvoed the manifold in order to replace.

I removed the dizzy cap to attend to the manifolds branch nuts.

Within the 4 weeks of the car standing. The alarm came on and wouldnt turn off, so the battery drained.

I have now reasemmbled the engine and connected all sensors etc.

However....

The engine is cranking but not turning on. The engine begins smelling of fuel (unburnt -neat rich) and will only crank when under jump leads.

I am wondering if this sounds like a sparking issue, do to removing the dizzy cap, is there a particular way of putting it back in?

Any help will be appreciated! Thank you!
