Guest rluffy
Hi guys, hope someone can shed some light on my situation. 4 weeks ago i remvoed the manifold in order to replace. I removed the dizzy cap to attend to the manifolds branch nuts. Within the 4 weeks of the car standing. The alarm came on and wouldnt turn off, so the battery drained. I have now reasemmbled the engine and connected all sensors etc. However.... The engine is cranking but not turning on. The engine begins smelling of fuel (unburnt -neat rich) and will only crank when under jump leads. I am wondering if this sounds like a sparking issue, do to removing the dizzy cap, is there a particular way of putting it back in? Any help will be appreciated! Thank you! TheTurtleshead
Did you forget to plug the king lead back on? or maybe it's not plugged on 100%. (Ignition lead from the coil to the dizzy) Sounds simple but if the cap is on properly and the rotor arm hasn't fallen out then it can only be a lack of spark surely!
