Guest Shodaw
Saturday I bought a mkiv supra (1993 TT auto grey import) and the engine area seem stock and clean but it did have a veilside front bumper which has been removed and an original one put on. It seems to drive well with a few little niggles I can probably sort but it I take it over 90 the red hazard warning light and engine light come on. The garage said it was because the active aero spoiler had been removed and Marty suggested that unplugging the little aero but behind the dash would solve this. I've removed the dash and it doesn't have an aero box thingy. Any ideas as to what this could be as other than that it's amazing. Btw it pushes well past 90 with no noticeable issues but these lights.

Guest Shodaw
Is it anything I can fix or do I just ignore the warning lights
K22SUP
Mines started doing this and was because the speed converter was faulty
Guest Shodaw
Did a replacement fix it? If so where should I get one?
peter richards
i just ignore it , if it is that , so many things can put that triangle on
Guest Shodaw
It's the engine management light that worries me more
Chris Wilson
It can be fixed with the correct speedo converter / top speed delimiter gizmos. Edited June 28, 2016 by Chris Wilson (see edit history)
Guest Budz86
Worth checking to see if the ecu has stored any error codes. If it still pulls smoothly then hopefully it will just be the speedo, but as Peter said, lots of things can throw that light up

Guest Shodaw
When the rain stops I'll give the error code thing a go and see what that throws up. Can garages read the fault codes or is it like my old 300zx
peter richards
where i live no garage has the diagnostic machine that fits the supra , not even toyota ,

Guest Shodaw
Ok so I've checked the fault code thing and it does four flashes then a pause then two flashes. Apparently it's a speed sensor thing or something. Any ideas
