Wet car mats

Bender

Recommended Posts

So after a rain (and there is quite a few per year 🌧) my passanger car mats mostly the rear one get wet. So somehow water get inside been told in my friendly garage (guy own a supra) there is a fault with some seals inside door and they need to be change for a new one. Anybody know part number so i can order the correct one also pic will be very helpfull. Also few days ago i regass my AC and now when i start my car my windscreen steams quite badly and only thing which helps is a AC set on lower temp. I guess it could be connected with wet car mats... it was raining whole last week so it may be the weather but dont know

The rear qtr glass is known to leak on alot of supras, did it on my current one and past one. Usually the water hits the seatbelt but i can see how it can miss and leak to the floor, seals will be easy to spot. Pull the speaker panel of, get somone with hose outside while your in it to trace the leak. Simple. I used Granville black sealant from halfords, used for window and seal leaks, here you can see mine just under the nut leaking water

When it's dry try putting some talc round your door seal then either spray a hose over the car or wait till it rains again if the talc is damp or disturbed you know it's coming in from the door seal.

Thanks mate will do 👍
