Chris Wilson
Or, bank rules aside, would you see it as an invitation to fraud, with someone with a mind to altering the amounts or the payee? But you are happy to sign your voting slip with a soft leaded pencil on a string, right? Take an indelible pen with you..... Bet you had never considered this, right? Havard
What is a voting slip? I have never had anything I give a toss about that much that I would go out of the house to vote. Unless there was a buffet on..!! H.
Chris Wilson
It's probably only a short time before the EU mandate no car modifications to enhance handling or performance, does that not inspire you to leave the house?

samdale
Ive seen a few posts like this on Facebook. Would I write a cheque in pencil then give it straight into the bank to be paid in? Yes. The bank teller is just as likely to alter that cheque as he is to steal my money using all of my bank details that he has right in front of him, the opportunity is just the same. Similarly if I vote using a pencil, and I truly believe there are unscrupulous vote counters out there, then I must believe they are just as likely to miss count my vote and put it in the other pile as they are to erase it, change it and THEN put ut in the other pile. They have the same opportunity regardless. Just my 2p worth. As it stands, I'm going to be away so have already voted by post, using a pen. j_jza80
If you do use the pencil, at least press it reasonably hard to make an impression on the paper. But yes, we are very fortunate that we live in the most liberal western European country when it comes to modifying cars. Expect the EU to impose strict, continent wide restrictions, which many of the EU countries already have. They are already starting to look at attacking classic car owners. Pete
I wouldn't even consider the idea of using a cheque. Horrible things.
mc92
Make sure you wear your tinfoil hats to the polling station too in case the Remain campaign steal your thoughts.
