FaithStalker
could you not put some nice fog-lights (small circular ones) in the "hole" where the orange indicators were??? not big ones like an Impreza - nice tiny but exceptionally bright ones? ......perhaps 2 in each intake...... ooo and another 8 in the front intake................ protects the radiator and gives daylight visibility in pitch black
Andy Metcalfe
You can on your car if you like mate! Maybe you could fit a 'knight rider' light in there aswell! And maybe a strobe under each wheel arch!!! (i cannot condone the de-facing of any supe and these comments are purely made in jest) :-))
FaithStalker
i was serious about at least 1 set of fogs though where the orange blobs are. Could you route the existing fog light wires from the headlights down to the external fog-lights without much probs?? mm knight rider eh.......... wheres my David Hasselhoff album gone... Andy Metcalfe
You could well extend the existing fog light wires without much of problem, but wouldn`t this be just getting rid of one set of fogs and replacing them with another?? whats the point in that?? If you want to pay Knight rider you will have to paint your car black and have it fitted with voice control!! (if you need a hand with the painting,i have a spare brush!!!) Andy Metcalfe
Ooooop`s typo alert! That was mean`t to read:- "If you want to PLAY Knight rider" I think Mr Hasslehoff probably gets paid enough already!!
GavinL
Quote: from Andy Metcalfe on 5:38 pm on Feb. 8, 2002[br]I refuse to pay that sort of money on principal! I think they are original Toyota parts from the 97-98 cars so they ain't going to be cheap.
Andy Metcalfe
I wonder if Toyota do 'Knight rider' lights??? If they did they would probably be £150 `ish, i bet! ;-)
FaithStalker
wasnt there some dodgy sequel to knight rider called knight rider 2020 or something like it - i dont think it had a talking car in it though, just the son of the son of Micheal Knight i think ! as for fog lights, an extra set of lights low down wouldnt do any harm - plus i've seen some really nice / brite external foggies. plus i'd be the only one on the board that had actually done it !! Andy Metcalfe
Too late now! The moment you posted the idea about more fogs half a dozen people on this list ran out to Halfords, bought said items and are at this moment drilling holes in there front ends to mount there shiney new lights!! Besides if Mr Toyota had mean`t for you to see in the dark/fog he`d have put in some light units that actually worked!!!
FaithStalker
oy OY (something bigger than capslock that hasnt been invented yet) OY! just saw Fast and Furious, THERE SUPRA has 2 front mounted fog lights next to the orange-blobs methinks i will do this, regardless of the -ve opinions i have recieved! if i get some 3rd party lights, spray them Storm Blue (wherever i can get that colour from) and fix them next to the orange blobs how do i wire them up to run in conjuction with the existing fogs, and they come on with the existing frontfog on switch? do i have to rewire lots of crap, or can i do it with a few simple things from halfords?
