cheekymonkey
Has anyone got any experience or trades in Binary Options. Seems to good to be true. Binary options? I used to dabble a while ago down at the casino. Red or Black. Thought I had a good system but ended up losing it all eventually. The house always wins. The social trading type thing doesn't seem much different - just a bigger market - and you're competing against the pros. It's a zero sum game too. For you to win someone else must lose. Rajinder
This has been posted by someone who also thinks this is a scam. “My dad has recently gotten involved with trading binary options online. The basic premise for the site he uses is at a specific time, say 1:25 p.m., you can put down perhaps $100 that XYZ stock will either increase or decrease in price within five minutes—by 1:30 p.m. If you are wrong, you get $15 back. If you are right, you win about $70. “I’ve proven to him that, mathematically, the site has an edge and you must be right 55% of the time in order for your bet to have a neutral expected value. I am also a professional online poker player by trade so I have an extensive understanding of probability, the online gambling markets, and how these sites work. cheekymonkey
I think "scam" is too strong a word. It's a form of entertainment, much like other forms of gambling.
Guest Michaelson
Rajinder, yes that's right it's called breakeven ratio (depends on how much payouts the brokers offer, but you are very close with your 55% guess). However I do not think, that binary trading is scam but you need a good solid trading strategy. Is is something like forex, but with easier principle. I found this website where it is very well explained.
