Guest loughman
Hi Guys I cleaned my car today inside. I sprayed dash shine on the dash. However it reacted badley and left the dash with very noticeable milky staining. I tried cleaning this off but theres a heavy coating of either grease/ dirt or dome type of rubber coating coming off with it. Is this coating stock or is it a film of grease/ dirt. Is it difficult to remove the dash panels to allow cleaning and/or painting. Could anybody provide a step by step as to how to do this. Any help greatly appreciated. AndyJax
Most of the dash panels are covered in a thin rubber like substance which a lot of people including myself tend to rub with off with white spirit or whatever then repaint in the desired colour and finish,I chose plasticote flat black which I think looks great. You should be able to find plenty of links on removing dash panels just be careful you don't snap off the fixing tabs on the back they tend to be quite brittle !
