Izzy
Hey all. We're back from UK 24h trip and I'm happy to own a Supra The whole trip car was superb, she didn't gave me any headaches. She's as described in the add. Seller is really honest guy. We hadn't had any issues on our trip really. Just an easy drive back home As Edvard wrote, the cost is around 700€-800€ to get the car in Slovenia by yourself. Now I must prepare her for our homologation (like MOT). I have 30 days to do this. Only then I can register her and get her on the road Than I'll update the progress And special thanks to my brother, if I hadn't had him, I wouldn't have opted for this venture so again thank you brother

Chris Wilson
Vote OUT, now they're taking our bloody Supras Glad you had a good experience, what's the spares situation like over there?
Izzy
Haha, yes we are taking them from you Here are no parts for this car, we have to order from or some other country, except for brakes and other little stuff, they can be ordered at the mechanic or store with automotive goods. Edvard
No problem brother...anytime Chris, they are our dream cars since we first saw them in the game "need for speed" The spares are hard to find, but we are resourceful We are planing to to restore them to original state (underseal, respray, new bushes, ect...) and to be our weekend cars for going to meetings and just cruise around We're very happy for our dream come true and this forum is great! Thank you all for your support and help

Edvard
Thank you all Now the long process for registration begins Also in our country you must pay about 50% taxes of the price of the car And after all that, we can than enjoy riding in style Oh and to mention me and my brother Izzy are twins and now we both have Supras We'll post some pictures when the registration is done. doggy
How do they define car price? Do you have a proof how much you payed for the car or the use some sort of calculators based on the year of the car?
Edvard
You must give them the "contract of sale (kupoprodajni ugovor)" in which you and the seller agreed the price and both signed it. If that price is too low and they think that is some sort a hassle, then they use some EURO calculators as you said. The calculated tax is based on the emmissions of the car, so in the case of the supra that don't have EURO emmissions certificate, they use the highest tax possible, thats 40% plus 10% for the engine size. Thats 50% of taxes. I don't know how it's in Croatia with the import tax...is it the same?
doggy
Its similar, but first thing you have to do is ask for import exception, as you cant import cars like this by default. So you signed a contract of sale when you bought the car? Where did you do that? How does it work?
Izzy
Yes. We both signed the contract (by hand) without the office (ne treba biti ovjerena) at his home. Then the new owner is written on the V5C and signed and that's it.
Homer
Glad it went smoothly for you and it looks like a well cared for car
