Dim Sum
I have never really looked into the the wheel fitments as I always brought wheels in description says its for a Toyota Supra mk4. what are the biggest fitments I can have without rolling the arches? Will these fit? Width : 8J (Front) & 9J (Rear) Diameter : 18 Inch Offset : ET42 (Front) & ET35 (Rear) Width : 8.5J (Front) & 9.5J (Rear) Diameter : 19 Inch Offset : ET35 (Front) & ET35 (Rear) Edited June 2, 2016 by Dim Sum (see edit history)
Chris Bailey
Both sets should fit in theory.
Dim Sum
Both sets should fit in theory. Would it then comes down to tyres then? Chris any recommendation on tyre height? I know I want at 275 at the rear since I think that's the widest I can fit into stock arches.
Chris Bailey
We managed to squeeze a 285/35/18 on a 18" 9.5J ET35 rim. But with your power you want something like a 295 really. But a 9.5J rim in the offsets you have said wont be possible I dont think.

Dim Sum
So I should in theory be able to fit this fitment in: Width : 8J (Front) & 9J (Rear) Diameter : 18 Inch Offset : ET42 (Front) & ET35 (Rear) Are you running these sizes on stock arches ? If so could you tell me your front size too I might just copy it, I know I should run wider tyres but I am hoping to get the R888 summer tyres and that should handle the power. I don't drive the Supra in the wet
Chris Bailey
We've changed wheels now, got 9.5J fronts and 11.5J rears now.
Dim Sum
We've changed wheels now, got 9.5J fronts and 11.5J rears now. Oh I see. But at least I know I can use 285/35/18 for the rears. sebas
My current wheels at the rear are 19" 9.5J et35 tyres 275/30 (or 35 not sure) stock not rolled arches, all ok.
Dim Sum
My current wheels at the rear are 19" 9.5J et35 tyres 275/30 (or 35 not sure) stock not rolled arches, all ok. Decision, decision, decision. So based on your set up I should be able to run these 19" then. Since they are the same offset and width. Width : 8.5J (Front) & 9.5J (Rear) Diameter : 19 Inch Offset : ET35 (Front) & ET35 (Rear)
sebas
you should be fine, my wheels are exactly: fronts 19" 8.5J et30 ( they are et35 but with 5mm spacers to clear UK brakes it is et30 ) tyres 235/35. rears 19" 9.5J et35 tyres 275/30. I will say that's the max for standard car. Maybe with different et you can go wider. Ah my car have standard suspension (reas) and it is not lowered. I have done about 7k miles on them, that included 4k eurotrip (UK - France - Italy - Croatia - Slovenia - Austria - Poland - Germany - UK) many different roads (motorways, local roads, bumpy roads, lovely german autobahns) and all was ok.
